NAA News

Brothers -

First off, allow me to say thank you for the opportunity to serve the
National Alumni Association as President.  I am very much looking
forward to the opportunity to serve the Brotherhood in this capacity.
Upon news of the election, I immediately set out to meet the team that
makes up the executive board of the National Alumni Association.  I
was struck by the drive and vision that these men offer our
organization.  You can expect to see great things from us in the
coming weeks, months, and years.

As excited as I am to work with these men on the many projects we have
planned for the NAA, its recognized Local Alumni Associations, and all
of its members; I am even more excited about the opportunity to work
with each of you to find out what you would like to see of the NAA.  I
look forward to hearing from Alumni and future Alumni alike.  I want
to hear your ideas, your frustrations, and your current needs.  As a
team, we want to learn how to serve you, our Brothers, better.  Each
of us strives to work towards a better Brotherhood; working together
to help active Brothers build upon the foundations that many of us as
Alumni have helped create.

Some things that we are currently working on, which you will likely
see coming out in the next few weeks and months include:  technology
upgrades and services for Local Alumni Associations (including email
boxes, webspace, and Pythia accounts… special thanks to NAA member
Adam Moore for his help with all of that), member discount program for
all of our NAA members (offering discounts at thousands of retailers,
entertainment events, movies, and theme parks), campaign fund
development (to help us provide financial resources to the fraternity
in areas where Delphi is unable to help), further development and
growth of the David L. West Scholarship, production of the Back To
School edition of the Centaurs Yell, and much more!

I encourage you to check out the new look of our website (dlp.org/naa)
or follow us on Twitter (DLPNAA) to find out what we have going on.
If you are not a member of the NAA, but would like to be, let us know,
and we will get you hooked up with all of the wonderful benefits of
being an NAA member.  If you are interested in starting a Local Alumni
Association, there is no one better than Troy, Danny, and Aram (your
Regional Directors) to get you started.  If you have ideas or
questions, please do not hesitate to contact me directly
(dusty.garner@dlp.org); if I can’t help you, I will send you to
someone that can.

Once again, thank you for this opportunity.  I look forward to seeing
what we can accomplish together!

Yours, In the Bond
